BEST 2006 USA FREESTYLE WOMEN FREESTYLE RANKINGS

Women's freestyle wrestling has 4 Olympic (*) weights & 7 World championship weights. Currently, both world championships award 4 medals per weight - for finalists (2) & winners of repechage (2). Repechage is similar to wrestlebacks and allows competitors on both sides of brackets who have already lost another chance to qualify for medals in non-champions bracket.

Freestyle wrestling for women is the style contested in all North American colleges and universities. Currently, there are 7 colleges & universities in the USA and 17 colleges & universities in Canada that offer financial aid and or scholarships.
