Farrington High School has the largest student population of all Hawaii's public schools. The school is named in honor of the late Wallace Rider Farrington, the sixth governor of the Territory of Hawaii, who served from 1921 to 1929. Farrington’s girls wrestling team has remained in the top tier of Hawaii girls wrestling.
Strong competition is expected from league rival and perennial power Kahuku High School, and the Interscholastic League of Honolulu powers Iolani School and Kamehameha School Kapalama Campus.

Tani dominated Hawaii girls wrestling last season as a junior, and was crowned the State Champion at 120 lbs. Tani placed second as a freshman at 108 lbs, and won the State Championship as a sophomore at 114 lbs. She is poised to become Hawaii’s ninth three-time girls State Champion.

Punahou School’s wrestling program continued its rise to prominence, and is the defending Hawaii State Boy’s Team Champion. The team is very young, returns six state placers (three state champions and one runner-up), and is a solid choice as the Best Boys Team in Hawaii.
Strong competition is expected from league rivals Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus, Oahu Interscholastic League’s Kaiser High School and Pearl City High School.

Daniel Chow is a senior at Punahou School. A judo national champion, he is talented and is continuing this development in the sport. He was undefeated last season in Hawaii and is looking forward to repeating as a State Champion. Daniel Chow placed third in the State as a freshman. As a sophomore he won the State Championship at 135 lbs, and at 140 lbs last year. If Daniel wins the State Championship, he will become Hawaii’s seventeenth three-time State Champion.
