Wayland Baptist University invites applications for the position of Head Wrestling Coach for Men & Women. Responsibilities include all functions normally associated with a head coach of an intercollegiate wrestling program. Wayland currently is the only university in Texas offering intercollegiate wrestling and will compete at the NAIA level in the fall of 2010. Master's Degree applicants will be given top priority; college level participation and/or head coaching experience is preferred. Starting date for the position is tentatively set for February of 2010 but is negotiable.

USA Wrestling is seeking a Manager of Developing Wrestling Styles, a full-time position which reports to the Director of Communications and Special Projects. This individual will manage USA Wrestling's programs in the developing styles of international wrestling, which includes Grappling, Beach Wrestling and Sombo.

This position will have responsibilities which include event operations, grassroots development, promotion, marketing and international team organization. This individual will coordinate closely with staff in a number of USA Wrestling Departments, to include Events, State Services National Teams and Communications. The position will also require work with numerous volunteers within the organization.

Event responsibilities include obtaining contracts and budgets for national and regional competitions in these styles, and serving as the event coordinator for USA Wrestling at these tournaments. The individual will assist in the promotion of these tournaments, and work with a diverse group of volunteers and other staff members to conduct the events.

This individual will take a leadership role in the development of each sport, by creating marketing strategies to increase membership and event sanctions in these styles. Duties include responding to requests for materials and support from state associations and clubs. The development of promotional literature and resources will be included as part of the formation of a program to educate the public about these sports. This person must be able to motivate others, possess diplomatic and negotiation skills, and share in the vision of the organization's growth.

This individual will serve as the staff liaison to ad-hoc committees in these styles, as assigned. Included will be helping organize U.S. international teams that compete in major events in these styles. The person will perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or the Director of Communications and Special Projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Professional experience in sports and event management. A bachelor's degree in sports management, marketing, communications or related fields. Knowledge and experience in one or more of the developing styles, as well as Olympic wrestling is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and data base construction. Ability to travel for extended days is required. Graphic design, desktop publishing, internet and video skills preferred. Able to lift heavy objects over 75 pounds. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefit program. Archbishop Riordan (175 Phelan Ave, San Francisco, Ca) is looking for 3 coaches to fill its staff. Season begins in late October and ends in March.

Coaching Position Open.

General Hours include attending practices from Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday practices from 2:45pm ˆ 5:30pm and Wednesday from 1:30pm-4:30pm. 6 Dual meets (away and @home) from 4:00pm-7:30pm. 3-6 Tournaments (away) that can last up to 10-12 hours, typically held on Friday‚s and usually begins at 7am. Hours are subject to change based on the Coach's availability.

General Duties include being responsible for 15-20 wrestlers. Executing the provided wrestling curriculum, overseeing wrestling conditioning, weight lifting, and act as an „ambassador‰ to parents through a group website, email, and phone.

Job Description: The Wildcat Wrestling Club and Club President/Director Mark Massery are seeking an Assistant Club Coach to help take this emerging training program to the next level. The Erez School of wrestling and Torah Academy are looking

After completing our first season, the Erez program has

in serving as a co-coach in the club program for 6th, 7th,

I am stepping down as head wrestling coach at Mission Viejo HS for an
accumulation of reasons, but I have a sophomore son in the program
still and wish to see it thrive.

I'm not yet sure if there is a teaching position or not (as I'm not
resigning my teaching spot), but our school has grown 300 students
this year. It is an affluent school with an amazing overall athletic
program.

We had success last year: a senior national qualifier and state placer
(my older son), two state qualifiers, 4 CIF placers (two CIF champions
+ OW), and as a team took 17th at 5-counties, 1st at Foothill 10-way,
2nd at Estancia (50 teams), 8th at El Cajon (64 teams), and 5th at
CIF. It will be a young team but has 4-5 TOP quality kids (minimum),
only 1 a senior.

Next year there will be a new large wrestling room (we currently use a
MPR temporarily during construction).
What they need is a quality younger guy to put in the time and
enthusiasm.

Mike Machholz, the head wrestling coach at Missouri Valley College, has announced that the university is seeking a full-time assistant coach for its nationally-prominent women's wrestling team.

Menlo College in Atherton, California is seeking a full time assistant women's wrestling coach/student life director.

Requirements: Minimum of BA is required. Female is preferred. Experience in either an RA (resident assistant) or RD (resident director) position. In addition, the applicant must have some experience with coaching of women and with that in the international styles. Furthermore, athletic credentials will also be used; however, will not necessarily be the deciding factor. The most important credential will be one's ability to work and relate to others, take and give direction, and handle administrative duties efficiently.

Position duties: The majority of the job will be to work with the student life and housing department as a director of student housing. The requirements for this job can be obtained at a later date. The second part of the job would be to report to the director of wrestling operations and with that be responsible for all aspects of efficiently running the women's wrestling program. Duties would include, but are not limited to: organizing and running practice sessions, recruitment of athletes, aiding in fundraising efforts, and scheduling and organizing road trips.

Salary: Salary includes free room and board, a coaching stipend and a full time salary + benefits.
