I have been wrestling collegiate style wrestling for 9 years, and have also been wrestling freestyle and Greco for 5 years. I have been named the team captain since I was a freshman, which is a honor because of the prestigious name Rio Rancho wrestling has made for itself. I was also named the New Mexico Athlete-of-the-Year as a junior, and I take pride in that because I am happy to represent the state of New Mexico and all of my supporters.

I will be attending Arizona State University next year, where I begin my quest to be the first ever Division I National Champion to ever come out of New Mexico. I chose Arizona State because of the dedicated coaching staff, good practice partners, and it is also close to home. I have currently decided to major in nutrition. After I am done with wrestling I plan on becoming a college wrestling coach, or pursuing my interest in MMA fighting.

I finished my senior year with a record of 46-0 with 41 of those wins coming by pin, and capturing my 4th state title. Wrestling has giving me opportunities, and taught me so many things in life. No matter what I decide to do with my life after wrestling I will always give back to the sport that taught me great morals, and helped me deal with all the different obstacles life has thrown at me.
