I am a student of wrestling, and have been for a large majority of my life.  This sport has taught me many lessons and shown me many of life’s perceptions.  This sport gave me the ability to bring out the best of my qualities.  As a young man I never was able to reach my goals, not because they were too high but the simple fact I wasn’t good enough.  I drove myself to reach those goals not giving myself a chance to fail at what I so passionately demanded.  I am proud to say this hard work lead to my Junior National Championship and Reno Tournament of Champion victory.  With these accomplishments I am able to look back and see how my perseverance, dedication and discipline guided me through times of personal doubt and gave me the ability to reach the person I am today.  Wrestling is not just a sport; it is a learning tool, providing characteristic traits that advise you around times of confrontation.

With my accomplishments and a considerable measure of good luck, I received a scholarship to wrestle at Boise State University where I must again use the tools of life I have acquired from wrestling.  With my passion for teaching, I have looked into education and administration but recently considered following down the path of athletics into kinesiology.  With these considerations I am still uncertain at where I will go with my studies.
