About the Camp: The
Vaughan Hitchcock Wrestling Camp is located at Squaw Valley,
USA, an Alpine Resort in the heart of the scenic High Sierras
of California, only five miles from America's crystal alpine
Lake Tahoe. Wrestling facilities include a huge, all-weather,
wrestling pavilion, providing each athlete with a new and exciting
wrestling environment. The pavilion has the finest wrestling
mats to insure the utmost in protection as well as enjoyment
for the athletes., additional facilities and recreation include
a camp wrestling equipment store, video facilities for training
tapes, movie house, gift shops, Squaw Valley cable car carrying
you 8, 100' above the valley floor, ice skating arena, large
swimming pool, river rafting on the Truckee River, pizza shop
and more.
All
Camps are designed to teach basic fundamental wrestling with
the emphasis on the high school style. Freestyle and Greco-Roman
wrestling techniques will also be presented in each session.
Each wrestler will be involved in more than six hours of championship
wrestling instruction daily. Instruction is designed to motivate
the novice wrestler and challenge the more advanced.
