Mead School District, Spokane, WA.  Supervise all aspects of secondary schools, including principals, curriculum, student athletics and activities, special education, non-resident enrollment, in-district transfers, student discipline and appeal hearings, nursing and social worker services, district emergency response plan.

1995-2003 –  Principal and District Administrator,  San Juan Island School District, Friday Harbor, WA.  Served in numerous capacities: High School/Middle School Principal, Athletic Director (8 years), Assistant Principal, Director of Special Education, District Assessment Coordinator, Title IX/Equity Officer.

1994-1995 -  Assistant Superintendent, Billings Public Schools, Billings, MT.  Supervised activities program, federal  programs, special projects, policy revision and implementation for a school district of 16,000 students. 

1990-1994 -   Executive Director of Activities, Billings Public Schools.  Directed an activities program for three high schools and four middle schools. Supervised approximately 370 coaches/directors and a budget of over    $1 million.

1986-1990 -  Assistant Principal and Activities Director, Big Sky High School, Missoula, MT.  Coordinated all  activities and facilities use, teacher evaluation, junior-senior attendance and discipline.  Supervised two             district-wide curriculum projects.

·       Served as president of the Northwest A League (W.I.A.A. District 1).  Organized league meetings and directed league activities, including the development of league guidelines and procedures.

·       Served on the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (W.I.A.A.) Sport, Amendment, and Ad Hoc Sportsmanship Committees, and Wrestling 50 Year Celebration organizing committee.

·       Served as a presenter at numerous conferences and clinics, including the Montana State Conference on Gifted and Talented (Kinesthetic Intelligence), the MHSA Annual Meeting (Legal Issues in Athletics), and Washington and Montana state coaches’ clinics.  Organized and presented at the 2000 Northwest A League Coaches’ School.

·       Personally organized and conducted state high school tournaments in basketball, wrestling, track, golf, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, speech and debate (1986-95). Also helped organize and conduct many regional or national events such as the 1980 Regional Olympic Wrestling Trials and the 1983 World Schoolboy Wrestling Tournament.

·       Coordinator of Wrestling for the U.S.O.C. National Sports Festivals (US Olympic Festival) in Syracuse, NY (1981) and Indianapolis, IN (1982).

·       Junior National Freestyle Coach (1975).  Coach the junior national freestyle wrestling team that included one future Olympic Gold Medalists and four future NCAA Division 1 National placers.  Also acted as coach and team leader for a Montana team that toured Japan in 1977.

·       Contributing Editor, WRESTLING U.S.A. MAGAZINE, since 1975. 

·       Master rated wrestling official for fifteen years, Montana Wrestling Official of the Year.  Montana wrestling rules interpreter and rules clinic presenter for two years.
